Grace Ramsey (b. 1990) is an emerging American abstract-expressionist painter based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Always a creative, Grace spent time studying at The Pratt Institute before the recession forced her to pivot, when she then discovered the performing arts and dedicated the next thirteen years traveling the world as a professional aerialist and contortionist. It was this experience as an acrobat that truly informed her abstract painting style, with her work now infused with sweeping line quality reminiscent of movement through in the air.

Returning to painting full time in 2022, Grace takes inspiration from her travels through Asia and across the United States, with strong influence from Japanese culture and that of the American West. Her subject matter explores the elusiveness of personal identity through the lens of neurodivergence, and the rich experience of emotional narratives with line, color, and scale.

Grace’s work has been on exhibit at Art Fair Jackson Hole in Jackson, Wyoming, The Hamptons Fine Art Fair in Southampton, New York, and will soon be featured at Red Dot Miami this coming December. Her work can be found in private collections across the United States, and she has been commissioned to create multiple works for finance and investment firms in Charlotte.
